New rear sprocket - some things just look too good.

In the quest for the perfect ride, motorcycle enthusiasts understand that even the smallest adjustments can make a world of difference. Recently, I delved into the realm of sprocket customization, experimenting with various sizes to find that sweet spot of performance and rideability.

Starting with the Basics:

I kicked off my sprocket adventure with the stock-sized 45T Supersprox, and truth be told, it served me well. Aside from routine cleaning, it presented no issues, providing a reliable performance that kept me cruising smoothly.

Exploring Front Sprocket Adjustments:

Curiosity led me to experiment with the front sprocket. For a season, I opted for a 13T, and the impact was immediately noticeable, especially in the sixth gear. The ride became more manageable, and I found myself enjoying the flexibility it added to my overall experience.

Striking a Middle Ground:

As I yearned for a harmonious balance between the stock and the 13T experiment, I decided to venture into the middle ground. I embraced a slightly larger rear sprocket, settling on a 46T while maintaining the 14T in the front. The decision was driven by a desire for a tad more power, considering the modifications to the stock engine.

The Best of Both Worlds:

What's truly exciting about this setup is the seamless transition it allowed. Utilizing the same chain, I effortlessly switched from the 13T back to the 14T in the front and paired it with the new 46T rear. The new sprocket is done by Sitta Sprockets - famous brand in sprockets as they supply the Motogp, WSBK, etc racing classes as well. Not only did this configuration maintain compatibility, but it also allowed me to bring the rear wheel a few centimeters closer to the front—an unexpected bonus.

Whether it's fine-tuning for responsiveness, experimenting with gear ratios, or finding that ideal balance, every adjustment contributes to the evolving tale of our rides. As I gear up for the next season with my new 46T rear and 14T front, I'm reminded that the beauty of customization lies in the endless possibilities it brings to the open road or track days.

The pictures don't do the justice of the amazing finish this new Sitta sprocket has.
